Awdio
Awdio was originally a project at LEGO Ventures. It's an interactive audio-story app for children where they can participate and influence the course of events in the story.

Problem
Balancing Interactive Choice with Technical Feasibility
Awdio aimed to be a dynamic interactive audio storytelling app, where users could make choices that influenced the storyline. Thereby each decision that the user takes within the story would impact future episodes.
However, the complexity of this structure quickly became a challenge.
01
Exponential Story Variations - With around nine choices per episode, the number of potential story paths increased rapidly, making it difficult to track and manage.
02
Technical Complexity - Implementing a system that dynamically adapts to past choices across multiple episodes required extensive logic, data tracking, and content management.
03
Scalability Issues - As more episodes were added, the branching structure made it challenging to expand the library of stories without overwhelming resources.
Context
Fixing What’s Broken
To simplify the design while preserving interactivity, I pivoted to a single episode format, or rather no episode format.
Each story would function as a self-contained experience, allowing players to make choices without the technical challenge of tracking past decisions across multiple episodes.
